Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Nursing and Shelter Population Care (40%)
Possess in depth knowledge and understanding of veterinary medical concepts
Provide care for up to 40 dogs per day.
Professionalism, Communication, and Performance (40%)
Housekeeping and Maintenance (20%)

Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to education, training, experience, location, business needs, internal equity, market demands or budgeted amount for the role. The maximum of the hiring range is reserved for candidates with the highest qualifications and relevant experience. The expected salary range for this temporary per diem role is set forth below and may be modified in the future.
The target hiring range for this role is $34.60 – $37.00

Ability to maintain open mind regarding changes and be willing to learn, implement, and teach new protocols, Ability to walk, bend, stand and reach constantly during a minimum 8-hour day, ability to lift 50 lbs, Able to safely walk and handle dogs 100 lbs or over, up and down stairs, Always treats people and animals with care and respect; must be a compassionate caregiver for animals and have a genuine interest in working with others, Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office., Communicate clearly, written and verbal problem solver who works well under pressure, Dependable and ability to demonstrate regular and reliable attendance., Excellent organizational skills, Team player and willingness to adjust schedule if operations require, The ability to work closely with behaviorally and medically compromised animals and feel comfortable working in an environment where humane euthanasia is performed on a regular basis
Education and Work Experience:
High School Diploma (Required)
Fear Free certified or obtained within 60 days of employment, Personal, volunteer or professional experience handling cats preferred but not required
